Hi
I have set up a citrix test server environment as follows
VMWare workstation used to run multiple servers
1x 2000 Advanced server set up as the domain controller and running DNS
1x 2000 Advanced server set up as the presentaion server, terminal services and licence services installed and running, IIS installed an running
The presentation server is part of the domain and the servers can see each other and there seems to be no problem in logging in.
Metaframe XP feature release 2 installed
The setup is as per the official citrix training manual and i have followed it as per the book.
The install worked correctly with no errors and looked good.
On restating the presentation server i go the splash screen saying that it needs to be licenced.
When i try to log into the Citrix Management console it tells me that i do not have permission to log on to the citrix management console.
I have tried the citrix install using the default administrators account and also creating a new account with full admin rights and i still can not log on to the CMC.
This has been driving me nuts, my question is, 1. what am i doing wrong (outside trusting AD) what rights are needed for me to log on to the Citrix management console and when are they set, in the install or before ??
I can find no reference to this anywhre in the help files or the training manuals.
I would appreciate the help before the test server learns to fly and the CDs become frisbees.
I know it is old software but i am using this as this is training version i have and the platform it is based on so i presumed that it would work !!.
Thanks
Gary
