We are having a problem. We recently moved our presentation servers to Windows 2003 x64 SP2. Since then, about once or twice a day we have a printer fail to autocreate. We're using UPD because people connect from their home computers. It's PS 4.0, secure gateway 3, web interface 4. I'm really not sure where to start looking into the problem, any advice is welcome.

Are there any messages in the servers event log?

I almost always find a clue to printing problems in the event log.

We get errors like this when it occurs:

Error
Event ID: 1106:

Client printer auto-creation failed. The driver could not be installed. Possible reasons for the failure: The driver is not in the list of drivers on the server. The driver cannot be located. The driver has not been mapped. Client name: (Web Interface Session) Printer: (Printer Blah (from Web Interface Sessions) in session 6) Printer driver: (Driver)

We'll get a bunch of those for every printer driver the person has when it occurs.

Warning
Event ID: 1103:

An error occurred while retrieving client printer properties. Default printer properties will be used instead. Client name: (Web Interface Session) Printer: (Printer Blah (from Web Interface Sessions) in session 6) Printer driver: (Driver)
