I have a user who has a Lexmark 2500 printer. Our servers are setup to use the Universal driver. The printer gets autocreated, I see the job leave the spooler, if I connect to the user's machine, I can see a message pop-up in the printer utility that a job is going to print, but it never prints. The user is able to print locally, just not through Citrix. I have tried to map the printer to many different drivers on the server, but none have seemed to work.

Any suggestions?

is the printer locally attached? If so is it USB?

The printer is locally attached via USB.

Try changing the print processor from LEMF to NT EMF on the client side.

The print processor was already set to NT EMF. We tried changing it to a couple different version of NT EMF as there were four different ones to choose from, however, none of those worked. What did work was changing the Print Processor to RAW. Yahoo! Thanks for your help!

Try using the Citrix UPD (can be any local printer) and enable 'Preview on Client' (this confirms the EMF job has made it to the Local PC), then select the local printer and test the print.

-from another issue thread-

If you go to Lexmark's site and search for kb article "Printing Errors When Using Quicken or Citrix" it will come up with some settings on the UPD that need to be insynch with the local driver. It may not be the exact fix, but it will start you on the way to looking at the printer driver communication between the server and the client.

(sorry, Lexmark's site doesn't present the url for copy/paste)

I found it by looking at the specs of the 2500 and then selecting the support tabs.
