I am currently using XenApp 4.5.

I installed a Domain Controller and Terminal Server in a different box.  Do I need to install terminal services component also in the box where I install XenApp server?

Prior to install of citrix you need to install Process:

1.    Install Terminal Services on the Citrix Presentation Server (CPS).  Open Control Panel, Add/Remove Programs.  Select Add/Remove Windows Components.

2.     Select Terminal Server and click next.

3.    Click Next.

4.    Select Relaxed Security and click Next.

5    Enter the IP for the TS license server xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx and click next.

6.    Select Per User licensing mode (most common) and click next.

7.    Click finish.

8.    Click next to restart the computer.

best wishes

if you also want the xenapp server to host a web interface be sure while your in add/remove programs > add windows components to add Application server and mark then ASP also as to be installed on. This way you save yourself some time :)

This is unbelievable! If you have to ask this question, it means that you didn't even bother going throught the installation checklist or the Admin guide included with XenApp 4.5

I'ts pretty sad how some people don't even want to think or read to do anything this days. Forums are online to help us discuss certain things and learn from each other but c'mon. At least put in 3 minutes of your own time to figure out what to do before you ask somebody else to figure it out for you. I bet the process you went through to log on here, post the question, and then wait for the answer was by far longer than reading a couple of lines on any of the documentation provided with the software.

Citrix XenApp will not enable TS during the installation so, yes, you will need to have Terminal Services installed prior to installing XenApp.

Oh, I dunno bellerto. Take a look at all the forums lately. Same kinds of questions. What does this tell you?
